NESMUK

8 Inch German High Carbon Stainless Steel Kitchen Knife With Pakka Wood Handle Chef Knife

Nesmuk is an alternative to German kitchen knives, or even any kitchen knife. It is an independent brand founded by Lars Scheidler, nicknamed “Bat Knife”, and its logo is a bat. Its birthplace – yes – is also Solingen. With the exception of low-end models, the brand’s knives are forged by Lars Scheidler himself. Of course, handmade knives are not cheap, but the handmade knives of this brand are especially not cheap. The most famous is Jahrhundertmesser’s 2010 “Knife of the Century”, which sold for 80,000 euros, ranking first among the top ten most expensive kitchen knives in the world at that time. I was surprised when I first saw it: Is there really a dragon-slaying sword in the world? According to the manual, the handle of this knife is ancient oak with a lifespan of up to 5,000 years, the blade is made of 640-layer Damascus carbon steel, the HRC hardness is 65, and the thickness of the blade is only 0.8 microns. Although it is a first-class good knife, it is not to the extent that it is unparalleled in the world. The main reason it is so expensive is that it comes with a white gold bezel set with 25 diamonds – all tricks. The basic model of this brand can be bought at William Sonoma.
